Position 1: Lodge Manager – Selous Kinga Lodge
Location: Selous National Park, Tanzania
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and visionary Lodge Manager to lead the daily operations of our exclusive property. The ideal candidate will ensure operational excellence, staff development, and outstanding guest satisfaction in a truly wild yet luxurious setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily lodge operations to ensure efficiency and superior guest experiences.
- Lead, train, and inspire a team of hospitality professionals.
- Coordinate departments such as housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen, and guest services.
- Manage budgets, stock control, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
- Maintain lodge facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Collaborate on recruitment, onboarding, and staff performance management.
- Develop and execute strategic and sustainability initiatives.
- Represent the lodge in professional interactions with guests and partners.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ management experience in a luxury lodge or 5-star hotel (safari or wilderness experience preferred).
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong financial and operational management background.
- Deep understanding of eco-tourism and guest engagement.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and hands-on management style.
Position 2: Marketing Officer – Selous Kinga Lodge
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Reports to: Marketing Manager
The Marketing Officer will play a key role in promoting the Selous Kinga Lodge brand locally and internationally. The successful candidate will drive marketing strategies, digital presence, and partnerships to enhance bookings, visibility, and customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute effective marketing and sales campaigns to boost revenue and brand visibility.
- Develop partnerships with travel agents, tour operators, and DMCs.
- Identify new markets and customer segments locally and abroad.
- Manage digital platforms — social media, website, TripAdvisor, and Google Business.
- Coordinate content creation (photos, videos, promotional materials).
- Represent the lodge at trade shows, expos, and tourism networking events.
- Collaborate with reservations and operations teams to align guest experiences with marketing promises.
- Analyze tourism trends and competitor activities to refine marketing strategies.
- Prepare monthly marketing performance reports with KPIs.
- Ensure all materials comply with Selous Kinga Lodge branding standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Hospitality, or Tourism.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tourism or hospitality marketing.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
- Strong communication, creativity, and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with the Tanzanian tourism market is a plus.
