Job Purpose

The Senior Sales Support Assistant plays a vital role in driving sales performance and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the Emirates sales team. By providing reliable customer support, managing reports, and liaising with stakeholders, this position contributes directly to achieving the airline’s commercial targets and overall business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Coordination & Support

  • Assist the sales team with marketing and selling Emirates products across multiple channels.
  • Handle inquiries, manage direct mail campaigns, and conduct telesales to boost revenue.
  • Prepare accurate regular and ad-hoc reports within set deadlines.
  • Maintain efficient record-keeping systems for all sales documentation.
  • Liaise with various departments to ensure smooth and timely transactional sales activities.

Agency & Customer Support

  • Respond promptly to trade partner queries and contractual issues.
  • Distribute fares, contracts, and commercial notices accurately across all sales channels.
  • Assist with ad-hoc requests such as ticketing, fare amendments, and loyalty program inquiries.
  • Manage reservations, issue tickets, and resolve booking-related challenges.
  • Regularly update Salesforce.com and provide commercial insights to the sales team.

Group Sales Management

  • Handle group sales inquiries, prepare quotations, and manage group reservations.
  • Maximize group business opportunities through the Group Sales Optimiser tool.
  • Monitor contracts, deposits, cancellations, and compliance with Emirates’ guidelines.
  • Keep accurate group sales records and prepare monthly performance reports.
  • Work closely with internal departments and the Revenue Optimisation team in Dubai.

Education & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of schooling or equivalent.
  • Diploma/Degree in Travel & Tourism is an added advantage.
  • Basic fares and ticketing certification from a recognized institute or airline.
  • Knowledge of Computerised Reservation Systems (CRS) such as Amadeus or Galileo.

Experience & Skills

  • At least 3 years’ experience in sales or customer service within the airline/travel industry.
  • Strong understanding of airline fares, ticketing, and reservations.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office packages.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of world geography and travel industry practices.

Location Requirement
