As one of the clubs competing in the Tanzania Premier League, TRA United is not just about football—it plays a vital role in promoting voluntary tax compliance, offering tax education, nurturing sports talent, and enhancing corporate social responsibility. In September 2025, the club has announced two exciting opportunities: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Head Coach.
1. Position: Chief Executive Officer (1 Post)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily activities of the club.
- Define and implement the club’s vision, mission, and long-term strategies.
- Ensure compliance with football regulations (FIFA, CAF, TFF, league rules) and good governance.
- Oversee sporting matters: player recruitment, contracts, transfers, and youth academies.
- Grow the club’s brand locally and internationally through marketing, sponsorships, and community engagement.
- Drive revenue from sponsorships, broadcasting rights, merchandising, and partnerships.
- Manage finances, ensuring accountability and stability.
- Represent the club in national and international football governing bodies.
- Strengthen fan base through digital platforms and community programs.
- Report to the Board and uphold transparency, accountability, and ethics.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Law, Sports Management, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Proven leadership experience in sports, entertainment, or the corporate sector.
- Strong strategic and commercial mindset.

2. Position: Head Coach (1 Post)
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct training sessions, prepare match tactics, and select squads.
- Mentor assistant coaches and coordinate technical staff.
- Analyze opponents and design strategies that enhance team performance.
- Scout, recruit, and develop young talent through academies.
- Foster teamwork, discipline, and mental resilience.
- Collaborate with medical, fitness, and nutrition staff.
- Use video analysis and performance data for improvement.
- Maintain compliance with club and football association rules.
- Represent the club in media, official events, and community engagements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Holder of a CAF A License or equivalent recognized by Tanzanian sports authorities.
- At least 5 years of coaching experience in a Premier League club or National Team.
- A proven record of winning league titles or international tournaments is an added advantage.
