Key Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following educational, technical, and professional requirements:
- Education & Professional Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Transport/Logistics, or a related field.
- Specialist knowledge and proven hands-on inspection experience in Heavy-Duty Vehicles (HDV).
- Certification in Vehicle Inspection or Road Safety Standards is an added advantage.
- Driving License
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate both manual and automatic vehicles.
- Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems, including:
- Brakes
- Suspension
- Steering
- Tyres
- Electrical systems
- Engine performance and emissions
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems, including:
- Regulatory Compliance
- Familiarity with the Tanzanian Road Traffic Act and LATRA regulations governing vehicle safety and inspection.
- Work Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in vehicle inspection, fleet maintenance, or a related automotive field.
- Prior experience with goods transport vehicles is highly preferred.
