About UMATI
Founded in 1959, UMATI is a leading Tanzanian NGO affiliated with the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). It is registered under the NGO Act No. 24 of 2002 with registration number 00NGO/R2/000231. UMATI collaborates closely with the Ministry of Health and Local Government Authorities to deliver impactful SRHR programs nationwide.

1. Call Centre Agents (2 Positions)
Location: Dar es Salaam
Reports to: National Youth Coordinator
Type: Volunteer (with subsistence allowance)
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and provide SRH counselling
- Handle client inquiries and complaints
- Record and escalate cases using CRM software
- Prepare daily reports and follow up with clients
Qualifications
- Diploma in Public Health, Community Development, or related fields
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Must be a resident of Temeke, Dar es Salaam
- Fluency in Swahili and English
- Telesales experience is a plus
2. Pharmaceutical Technicians (2 Positions)
Locations: Songea and Mbinga
Reports to: Clinic In-Charge
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medications and advise on dosages
- Manage medicine inventory and ordering
- Educate patients on medicine use and side effects
- Support implementation of national medicine policies
Qualifications
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Registered with the Pharmacy Council
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
3. Laboratory Technicians (2 Positions)
Locations: Songea and Mbinga
Reports to: Clinic In-Charge
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze samples (blood, urine, tissues, etc.)
- Conduct quality control and maintain lab equipment
- Generate accurate reports and data logs
- Ensure adherence to safety and hygiene protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Laboratory Sciences
- Valid license to practice
- Strong IT and data management skills
4. Registered Nurse (1 Position)
Location: Temeke
Reports to: Clinic In-Charge
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver SRH, maternal and child health services
- Provide patient counseling and care
- Support minor surgeries and VCT services
- Supervise community-based care and training
Qualifications
- Diploma in Nursing with valid license
- Experience in leadership and clinical administration
- Strong communication and computer skills
