About the Role
As a Zonal Sales Manager at Interchick, you’ll be responsible for leading the sales function within your designated region. Your key goal will be to ensure profitability, efficiency, and sustainable growth through strategic planning, effective team leadership, and excellent stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Planning & Budgeting: Develop and manage a comprehensive sales budget to ensure operational excellence and profitability.
- Strategic Pricing: Advise management on competitive pricing strategies that align with the company’s growth vision.
- Partnership Building: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key business stakeholders to achieve both short-term and long-term objectives.
- Data Management: Maintain a reliable and up-to-date business database to support performance reviews and decision-making.
- Team Leadership: Build and motivate a high-performing sales team dedicated to achieving Interchick’s growth goals.
- Cash Flow Management: Enforce timely partner payments to maintain healthy company cash flow.
- Inventory Oversight: Ensure optimal stock levels and adherence to the FIFO (First In, First Out) principle in stock movement.
- Project Delivery: Oversee zonal project timelines, deliverables, and accountability to meet company objectives.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations on zonal performance, project status, and key recommendations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with department managers to integrate new initiatives and improve operational processes.
- Sales & Marketing Strategy: Design and implement strategies to drive market expansion and revenue growth in your zone.
Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing or a Business-related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry, with a strong record of delivering results.
- Excellent analytical and leadership skills, coupled with solid business acumen.
- Proven experience supporting and driving a business sales organization.
- Strong program and project management capabilities.
- A strategic thinker with innovative problem-solving abilities.
- Must possess a clean and valid driving license.
